Description:
A Mandari homestead in Jarra village with a shrine to the Power Mutia agok in the foreground.
The Doctor of Powers called Ako Akurukway is pouring a libation of beer at the base of the shrine.
The homestead head's mother can be seen leaning out of a hut behind.
The homestead head was the brother of a man called Asek, who had been asked by Ako to set up this shrine some months before when he had fallen ill.
Either he or Asek is probably one of the men looking towards the camera to left.
The occasion of this photograph was when Buxton had accompanied Ako to visit Asek to continue questioning the Power.
