Description:
To the right is the large hut with a ridge identified as Evans-Pritchard's sleeping hut.
To the left is the open sided shelter (baruti) seen in the background of many portraits taken by Evans-Pritchard, possibly constructed for Evans-Pritchard's use, but since there is a fence between the two buildings, it may be a meeting shelter belonging to the chief.
One of the men gathered near the shelter is Bitarangba, the man with mutilated hands.
