An upper body profile vignette portrait of a Bari man wearing a feather headdress and neck ornament, with cicatrice design on his shoulders, probably taken at Gondokoro.
It seems likely that this image was taken shortly before October 1878 when Buchta reached Lado (Juba) on board S.S.
Safia.
