Description:
Looking across a kraal at Yakwach with cattle in the foreground at their tethering pegs and a byre (luak) and huts beyond.
A girl is milking a cow in the centre of the kraal, with its calf standing close by.
In contrast to his two earlier fieldwork visits when photographing cattle was viewed suspiciously by the Nuer, Evans-Pritchard took numerous record images of them during his later field trips.
