Description:
A group of youths dancing on a dance ground holding spears and clubs, with a line of girls walking just beyond them holding hands.
Dances were significant occasions for courtship as well as war play, where initiated youths of differing villages faced each other in mock running battles as a show of group prowess.
The people are described as Jikul, a lineage or clan name not associated with one particular tribal territory, but which was a significant lineage among the Leek and Western Jikany tribes of Western Nuerland.
