Description:
A vignette head-and-shoulders full face portrait of a Mangbetu woman wearing a twisted metal loop neck ornament, with a pendant hanging from it.
She is also wearing metal arm ornaments and has a series of dotted cictrices on her abdomen.
Buchta made an excursion to the groups west of the Nile in 1879 setting out from Juba on 7th July and returning there on 26th August.
