A full length portrait of an Avokaya man carrying a bow and spear, with a quiver of arrows over his left shoulder.
He is posed as if to suggest walking on a hunt.
Buchta made an excursion to the groups west of the Nile in 1879 setting out from Juba on 7th July and returning there on 26th August.
