In Religion and Healing in Mandari (Oxford, Clarendon Press 1973) Jean Buxton notes (page 13) that 'Tali, which is not a true Mandari village, but an artificially created unit, has a small non-Mandari population including some of the police, the Medical Assistant and the Dresser, and, during my first visit, and Arab merchant, besides a Bari shopkeeper at an adjacent smaller shop.'[Chris Morton 25/4/2005]
