Description:
Cattle at their tethering posts surrounding a central fire at a Mandari cattle camp in the dry season. A youth to the left looks towards the camera. In the central fire area is evidence of social activity with a mat and other domestic items laid out. Family members often used these spaces for everyday social interaction, and the ash was used for body decoration and cleansing.
