Description:
A grass chicken house raised on high legs to avoid predators, at the edge of a compound in the village of Burathoi in Nyikaani on the Akobo, with cleared fields surrounding.
Predominantly agriculturalists, the Anuak clear the fields (often in forest soil) sometime around March and April and sow maize and millet in May as the rains come on.
