Description:
A large 'sausage-tree' (Kigelia africana) known in Dinka as rual with its characteristic long pendulous fruits hanging down, standing beside a track leading toward a village which is visible beyond. The rual tree was the emblem of one of the powerful divinities of Dinka religious thought, as well as providing fruits used in children's games and as ready-made headrests and stools.
