Description:
Thesiger's hunting trophies from his first treks in Western Nuer District, arranged against a wall on the upper deck of the government steamer Kereri. To the left is Thesiger's Zaghawi servant Idris Daud, and to the right his interpreter Malo. Both accompanied Thesiger on hunting trips and were given guns of their own to use.
