Description:
Looking a lagoon towards a number of hippo in the distance. Thesiger later wrote that he followed a group of Nuer to a lagoon hunt where some thirty-five hippo had been spotted. To the left can be seen several Nuer on a hastily made reed raft, punting themselves across the river with a pole.
