Description:
Five small boys pose for the camera at the edge of a Mandari homestead late in the afternoon. The huts are not raised on piles around a central space like the Mandari Köbora but built close together without a central area, more characteristic of the western Mandari groups. Buxton's Land Rover and driver are just visible to left of frame. In another view of this homestead a steep rocky hill can be seen next to the homestead. This unusual feature may be Mount Tindali next to Tindalu.
