Description:
Two men in a homestead constructing a large clay vessel for storing grain.
A seemingly complete grain bin sits on its side behind the standing man, who is wearing a small hat ornamented with feathers.
The Dinka term Jur, used in the postcard caption for this image, was commonly applied historically to a number of separate cultural groups, most of whom were predominantly agricultural rather than cattle-keepers.
