Description:
A tall basketry granary placed in front of a hut, probably at Mancom village. The granary was evidently slightly unbalanced since Evans-Pritchard has placed a long wooden spoon underneath it to keep it upright for the photograph. It is evident that documenting as well as collecting material culture was a concern for Evans-Pritchard throughout his fieldwork, many objects being illustrated in his published works on the Nuer.
