Description:
A large number of dancers gathered together, some jumping with arms raised. Dances were significant occasions for courtship as well as war play, where initiated youths of differing villages faced each other in mock running battles as a show of group prowess. The people are described as Western Jikany and in related images as Jikul, the latter being a lineage or clan name not associated with one particular tribal territory, but which was a significant lineage among the Western Jikany.
