Description:
A slightly blurred image looking across a homestead yard in western Nuerland, probably in Nyueny village where Evans-Pritchard spent five out of seven weeks research in 1936, with tethered cattle standing in the foreground with a pile of swept detritus nearby. On the far side of the yard is a sleeping hut of the household, and to left some people sitting behind a windbreak.

Notes:
There would seem to be two Rolleiflex films identified as no. 5 in the Nuer series, which I have identified based upon differences in the handwritten style of enumerating the number 5 on the print reverses, as well as on visual content. [CM 26/10/2007]
