Description:
A view across savannah grasses in western Nuerland. Evans-Pritchard was in this region during October and November 1936 during the rainy season, spending most of his time in Nyueny village. He took numerous images of scenery in Nuerland to show the changing environment in which the pastoral Nuer survived.
