Description:
A view across a large river, possibly the Sobat River, with the windbreaks and cattle of a Nuer or Dinka camp visible on the far bank. The Sobat River was a territorial divide between Nuer Lou groups who brought their cattle to its south bank at the height of the dry season, and the Ngok Dinka on the north bank. This image seems to be a copy of a print, and so may well have been given to Evans-Pritchard.
