Description:
The canvas tent used by Evans-Pritchard during his Nuer fieldwork placed under the shade of some large trees. The photograph format suggests that the image was taken during Evans-Pritchard's first fieldwork trip in 1930, and a location for this image of Pakur or Yoinyang. A small group of Nuer and probably Evans-Pritchard's servants, can be seen gathered near the tent, seated on the floor. Trucks tracks can be seen in the dirt in the foreground.
