Manual Catalogues [typewritten, entitled "Ingassana"] - 93. Carved wooden figures. E. 10

Note on print reverse ms pencil - "boy carrying kai i tsalk
sunut E10"

Notes on card mount ms pencil - "beginnings of fading? 10/11/86 EE"

Other Information:
It is possible that the note "sunut" on the print reverse refers to the wood from which the carving has been made, i.e. Acacia nilotica, known as Sunut in Sudan. According to Dr. Charles Jedrej kai i calk (noted by E-P on the print reverse) could mean 'the calk's diviner' ie the diviner for the calk (group) (see RDF for correspondence of 9.2.2004) [Chris Morton 9/2/2004]
