Description:
A seated woman in a homestead in Pochala village, with gourd containers around her, probably holding flour or porridge. She is holding what looks like a bone spatula in her right hand. The shadow of Evans-Pritchard's pith-helmet is visible at the bottom of the image. This village was the clan centre of the important Jowatcuaa clan (named after it's lineage founder, Ocala) although it had no headman but prominent clan elders.
