Description:
A woman holding a child on her hip with a mat behind her. The child has its head bound in Mangbetu fashion with a wide band of material to elongate the cranium. The woman's head also takes this elongated shape, although it is less clear. To the bottom left is a section of netting with stone weights, suggesting fishing activity close by.
