Notes:
Evidence suggests that this is part of the 92 1 film [Chris Morton 5.3.2006]
This may be the Naibani or Nabani, the first wife of Kamanga, who is mentioned on p.40-42 of E. E. Evans-Pritchard's article 'Oracle Magic of the Zande'
Sudan Notes and Records , Vol.XI, 1928. Kamanga's marriage to Nabani was never fully agreed since benge consultations consistently declared against the union, and she eventually returned to her brother's homestead (her father was deceased). [CM 21/07/2006]

Other Information:
This image is a very similar portrait to that of Namarusu [EPA.230] reproduced as the frontispiece to The Azande (OUP 1971) (missing from collection) which suggests that they may have been taken at the same time and thus both belong to film "1". There is no further information on the print reverse. [Chris Morton 14/11/2003]
