Description:
A servant (identified as Mekana) wearing an arabic-style white tunic and waistcoat, outside Evans-Pritchard's hut. The large square hut is of a type known as gbiliki, and has a ridge along the roof, clay walls, as well as a stone-lined path leading to the door, with a curious cross-shape at the centre. Mekana was, along with Kamanga, one of Evans-Pritchard's personal servants during his fieldwork among the Azande.
