Description:
A posed group portrait of three Bari men, probably at Gondokoro.
It seems likely that this image was taken shortly before October 1878 when Buchta reached Lado (Juba) on board S.S.
Safia.
The men have been posed so as to provide front, profile and rear views of Bari male decoration in the same image.
Their ornamentation includes feather headdresses and animal fur arm ornaments.
