Description:
A Bari homestead in the foreground with the Nile and a rocky outcrop hill in the background, possibly Belinian hill.
The homestead in the foreground comprises a large sleeping hut as well as a number of raised granaries.
It seems likely that this image was taken shortly before October 1878 when Buchta reached Lado (Juba) on board S.S.
Safia.
