Description:
A man wearing a check body cloth sits on the ground near a brick building at the American Mission at Nasir. In the background can be seen a wall, visible in other images as next to the Sobat River. Evans-Pritchard visited the mission in both 1931 and 1935 and dedicated his Nuer monograph to the staff there in gratitude for their help during his fieldwork.
