Description:
Two men sitting amid growing crops, possibly millet, in Western Nuerland.
Cultivation, along with fishing, was considered a subsidiary but necessary activity by the cattle keeping Nuer.
This image may show the second millet crop which was planted around August time, since Evans-Pritchard visited western Nuerland in October and November of 1936.
