An upper body portrait of a man turning to face the camera, wearing a textile body cloth and carrying a herding stick. He is described as a man of western Nuerland where Evans-Pritchard spent around 7 weeks in 1936, mostly in the Leek Karlual village of Nyueny, where this film number suggests the image was taken.

There would seem to be two Rolleiflex films identified as no. 6 in the Nuer series, which I have identified based upon differences in the handwritten style of enumerating the number 6 on the print reverses, as well as on visual content. [CM 26/10/2007]
